One would think that recoil would be a problem but it is much less than a 357 magnum; it is more of a push in the hand. Cleaning is simple: pull pin, remove cylinder. With the 7-1/2 inch barrel, grouping of shots is fantastic, you can really reach out and touch something with it. And oh that sound...nothing sounds like a big colt 45 going off.

What can I say, it is simple. This is the gun you can pass down generation after generation, it will last forever. Everybody that sees it wants to hold it, shoot it. While not a CC pistol by any means, it would make an outstanding home defense weapon. Just the sound of that hammer being pulled back (click, click) and the sight of it would make most people run out of thier shoes. Hey, it's an old peoples gun! |
