This firearm is one that will stand the test of time. Much like the classic 1911, it has become iconic. With Secret Service, Federal Air Marshals, Homeland Security and countless other agencies using this firearm (in .357 SIG) as their duty weapon, it clearly has earned a reputation of being accurate, reliable, and intuitive.

It has been used in more movies than I can count and is one of the more common movie firearms in action films.

The semi-compact size makes it easy for both men and women to shoot comfortably, and the trigger pull is smooth.

Overall this gun is a cadillac of pistols, it's smooth, reliable and has class. Not a huge amount of frills to this model, it's just all-business, which I find very appealing.

My only 2 gripes about it are the Nitron finish, while durable isn't perfect, and the location of the slide catch lever can frustrate shooters who are not used to it.

Overall I give this gun the highest mark though as the consistency and ease of firing is pure pleasure.

This is an out of the box tack-driver. Having fired multiple combat drills at close range has demonstrated to me that it points naturally in the hand and you can achieve follow-ups well within the high center chest region on a silouhette. At longer distances the gun still fires tight groupings.

The firearm features a decocking lever, Sig's most distinctive trait in many of their pistols.

I found the Nitron finish to be durable, but not perfect as it can wear over time, and if the user is not careful, harsh cleaning solvents will lighten the Nitron a shade or 2. Resolution is simple with leaving it coated in gun oil overnight before wiping clean.

The other annoying feature I've run into (and many Sig shooters confess to this as well) is that the slide lock lever is directly beneath the thumb of the right hand for right-handed shooters. If not using a proper grip, the shooter can wind up applying enough pressure here to prevent the slide from locking back on an empty magazine. This took some getting used to initially when I first purchased this pistol.
