First of all,I would like to qualify my expertice with firearms. I am a retired police officer with over 25 years experience as a firearms instructor.That said, this is a review of the Ruger lcr 38and 38+p 5 shot revolver.This revolver is very light at 13.5 oz,it is rugers first plastic revolver.{not all plastic}.however do not let this feature stop you from buying this revolver as soon as you can!I was very impressed with the feel of this revolver, the overall function and the wonderful trigger pull.

The recoil on this little puppy is brisk with 38+p ammo, and a little less with 38 spl.However I had no problem printing 2 inch groups at 15 yrds with the iron sights,and 11/2 inch groups with the crimson trace laser that comes as an option with this revolver.The revolver printed at point of aim with no adjustments whatsoever.The trigger pull is simply amazing,straight back with no creep and a clean break. Cleanup was a breeze with little fouling detected after 50 rds of Hornady Critical defence 38+p 110 gr. FTX ammo.

The most striking features of this revolver are its light weight,concealed carry capabilitys,accuracy,and ease of maintenance.
