If you are new to shooting, or just trying to increase your accuracy without breaking the bank on ammo, this is a great starter gun. The cleaning and breakdown are very simple once you get the hang of it. It has a slightly heavier trigger pull than I like but, with the short barrel, it keeps you honest. If you can hit the target with this, you will score great spreads with a larger gun. It is extremely picky about ammo. The only ammo that works in mine is federal 40 grain hollow points. Anything else jams or stove-pipes. It also took a couple of thousands rounds before it loosened up to where it wasn’t jamming with that as well. It also must be cleaned each time you take it out or it will gum up and jam nearly every round. Walther will not address this problem. If you send it in for service, it will be sent back to you with a note saying that they tested it (by firing 1 round) and had no issues. |

There are no high capacity magazines for the P22 and, it now only comes with one. Factory magazines will be around $30 so factor them into the price. Trust me, you will want a second magazine. The magazines have a thumb spring on the side so they are very easy and fast to load. |
