I was hesitant in buying a Taurus, known for inexpensive firearms, but was delighted with the feel of the 24/7. Large capacity and great grips make it a favorite for my small handed wife.
I hated the Heinie sights, at first, but I have grown accustomed to their use however my spouse still struggles with them. The ribber (accurate name) grips fit any size hand comfortably and the gun is not too heavy, nor too light. It really has a great feel especially if you are used to Glocks.

Surprisingly, the gun shoots great. I have used it in IDPA meets for six months and have taken 'Most Accurate' twice (I’ve been shooting less than a year). The 9mm recoil is very controlled and allows a drop on target smoothly. They have provided a slight depression forward of the trigger guard where your finger easily rests when not on target, so easy it becomes second nature to transition outside of the guard.
I personally love the SA/DA feature in shooting competition. In 1,400 rounds I have had a few misfires (I use hand loaded ammo) which usually respond with the second hammer drop. Pulling the trigger a second time is a whole lot faster than a manual eject. There has been one single failure to load which was due to a wrinkle in the brass out of over a thousand rounds. The trigger pressure is light.
Take down is easy although clumsy when I do it and cleaning is a breeze. The weapon shows virtually no wear from the firing and only slight marks from the repeated extraction from the Kydex holster. The accuracy in IDPA is superb although there is a lot of bullet drop when shooting the 15 year targets, such is a 9mm.

I’m a safety nut and really like the redundant safe features. It has a traditional lever safety (not-ambi) along with the Taurus Security System where I can lock the weapon when grandchildren visit and it cannot be fired or loaded. The little locking tool fits nicely on my keychain so they have no access to it.
It is a double stack and consequently a little wide when carrying. It holds 17+1 and is perfect for a right hander as the safety and magazine release are both single sided.
